Yea I know even though we didn't have a harsh winter as last year, the weather on and off does still continue to bring its most famous side effects.
Chapped Lips, dry skin, dandruff.. etc.,
So As I walked into a MAC store to pick out a few products I was being helped by one of the sales rep, I was stopped by another concerned sales rep who was appalled by my lips. And said she was going to apply their Lip Conditioner because it was just unbearable for her :)
I was stunned but I knew she was right, I was peeling my dry lips when i walked in and didnt realise how bad it looked (eeek!!)
Well guess what that lip conditioner stayed on real good, and I didnt have chapped lips for 2 whole days!! none of my chapsticks have done that. Except Neosporin comes close to it ofcourse. I usually stick to that or Nivea.
Now I have a new friend in the lip balm family. I am SOO glad the kind lady made that gesture. I waited it out for a few days and finally went and bought the product. Price is a lil steep but its an investment worth making. With an spf of 15 it comes in a tube or a tub.

So I'm breaking my consevative streak of choices by picking more trendy or brave colors as I put it. The change is sublte. Going into the darker browns or grey weren't a prob i love those..it's the Green, teal and so on that keep me intruiged and yet challenge me to try them. So I finally stepped up and went for them.
1) Marine Scene by Sally hansen. I got a tan this week thanks to the awesome sun which decided to make a comeback :)
2) Minted by Revlon. My first time trying Revlon nail color.
3) Uh-Oh Roll down the Window by OPI Touring collection.
Is there a dress code for going out? I mean really what is the appropriate way to dress up if you are just going out to a lounge with some friends. Maybe the place has a dance floor and you want to shake some leg. I've often felt like dressing up for such occassions and then my friends turn out in causual jeans and t-shirt look. So I either find a middle ground with some bling and minimal makeup, or trendy casuals with some eye makeup drama!
Ofcourse i dont do the shorts or sleevless so i shall be pairing the tops with either leggings /pants and stylish short sleeve cardigans.

Nine West has this new Sophie Theallet collection and I must say these are pretty cute!
Sophie Theallet who has worked for Jean Paul Gaultier and has also won the National Young Designer Award, brings her own French touch to the collection.
It features in Pink and Brown. I personally always gear towards the Browns..but I may just have to opt for the Pink or may be both?

So I went out to watch this movie yesterday! To cheer myself and a friend. Since we were being brought down by the sudden cold front on the East Coast.
And boy did we enjoy this one! Its an all out girly comedy (rated R) yes it gets the rating for the opening scene itself.. :)
It was a bit a long with its 2 hr and 5 min running time, but I must say the script, screenplay and comic inuendos just kept us laughing non stop.
Kristen Wiig is top notch!
Rose byrne looked absolutely gorgeous!
All the characters were well potrayed.
The thought i brought home with me was the concept of holding on to your old, lifelong friends and being open to making new ones as life takes you in all different directions.
So go out and watch this one!
Just like every other girl on this planet I was and still am in total Awe, Admiration and Love with Princess Diana. And yesterday was one of the most important event in the life of her most precious gems. Prince William got married to the love of his life Catherine Middleton. How proud would Diana have been had she lived to see this day. Her presence was felt and in William we will always see her.
The Wedding was nothing less than just perfect.
My favorite moments of the wedding were:
1) When William looks like Catherine at the altar and mouthed the words 'You look Beautiful'
2) During the vows the cute expressions they exchanged and blushed.
3) When they looked at each other and blushed just after they sat next to each other after the vows.
4)When Kate sat in the carriage and either said 'I'm so happy!' or asked William 'Now are you happy?'
AND
5) Ofcourse the second kiss !
April showers are not as romantic as they sound. Infact Spring brings in some of the most dangerous storms in and around most parts of the country!
Try sleeping through the roaring thunderstorms/ lightning all night and keep your look together the next morning at work or school, wherever you need to be. You can let a couple of days here and there go by dressing down. But you know you want to bring out the fashionista sooner than later.
